WHY THE DRAGON ECLIPSED THE ELEPHANT

Updated: Feb 12, 2021

INDIA & CHINA HAVE DOMINATED THE ANCIENT WORLD FOR CENTURIES. AFTER BEING ENSLAVED BY THE SHACKLES OF IMPERIALISM, ONE NATION HAS BLOWN PAST THE OTHER. HERE'S WHY.

The graph below is a succinct explanation of where the ancient economies of India & China stood- on an even dominant position.

We are all aware of the mammoth gap today between the size of the economies but for once, let's take a look beyond the numbers.

People blame our government and our country for not being able to compete with China and develop a negative perception for our country. Today, I am writing this article to give a transparent picture of reasons for China being ahead of India and by the end, you all will be proud to be an Indian.

In China, the economic pattern is somewhat different as compared to India. Instead of Democracy, there exists a communist government which has complete control on the economy and the citizens. The communist government has an ideology to "serve the country before serving people."

Thus, their main priority is the development of the country and not the happiness and freedom of its citizens. They believe that if people are kept under pressure and strict supervision then they will follow policies and government principles more effectively which will improve the economy and lead to the benefit of the country. There are very few private Entrepreneurs and MNCs, thus the people have to seek job opportunities only under Government. Their Social media is behind the great firewall where western giants like Google & Facebook are not allowed. The mass media too is under the strict control of the CCP. Therefore, the economy is mostly owned by the government and 60% of the population are employed in PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings). They are made to work a lot more with very few incentives and low wages and salaries.

No one can criticize the government, not even the richest person of China, otherwise, he/she may suffer from the wrath of the CCP [As happened with the world-famous Businessman Jack Ma]. They are believed to just do and work as said by the government. There are no "ifs and buts" but the order of government and the execution by the public. This is the biggest drawback of China. Absolute power has resulted in complete loss of freedom for common man, leading to the harmful practices by the government.

"So by taking away freedom and fundamental rights of its citizens, the government is developing the country."

If you can sacrifice your freedom, your dreams, your success, for the success of the country, then only ever dare to criticize India and praise China.
